Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ThreadKeepAI ("ThreadKeep," "we," "us," or "our"), a web app published by DistillAI. By creating an account or using ThreadKeep, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use ThreadKeep.

1. What ThreadKeep is

ThreadKeep is a web app for keeping the facts, decisions, preferences and next steps from your AI conversations, checking them, and turning them into a briefing ("handoff") you can paste into another AI conversation. ThreadKeep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft or any other AI provider.

2. Open beta

ThreadKeep is in open beta. It's free to use during the beta. Features, limits and the look of the app may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. Beta software can have bugs: please download backups of your workspaces from time to time. We'll announce the end of the beta in advance.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use ThreadKeep. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at beta@threadkeepai.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Plans and prices after the beta

After the beta, ThreadKeep is planned to offer a Free plan (2 workspaces and 10 AI imports a month) and a Pro plan at $3 a month or $30 a year (unlimited workspaces and up to 200 AI imports a month). Prices and limits may change before launch; we'll publish the final ones before anything is charged.

Everyone who creates an account during the beta gets ThreadKeep Pro free for 12 months from the day paid plans launch. After those 12 months, your account continues on the Free plan unless you choose to subscribe. Nothing is ever charged without you choosing to buy it. When paid plans launch, payments will be processed by Stripe, and these Terms will be updated with billing, renewal and cancellation details.

5. AI import

AI import is optional. Each time, it sends the conversation text you approve to OpenAI to suggest what to keep (see the Privacy Policy). During the beta, each account can make up to 20 AI import attempts a day. We may lower limits, or suspend AI import for an account, if we reasonably believe it's being abused, including attempts to get around limits with multiple accounts.

6. Third-party AI providers

ThreadKeep works with conversations from, and handoffs for, AI services you use separately. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, policies and charges, which remain between you and that provider. We aren't responsible for a provider's service, changes or actions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use ThreadKeep for anything illegal, or to store content you don't have the right to store;
• Attempt to get around ThreadKeep's limits, security or access controls, or to access another person's account or data;
• Overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service;
• Resell or provide access to ThreadKeep to others without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of the records, conversations and other content you bring into ThreadKeep. We don't claim ownership over it, and we use it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. AI suggestions and handoffs

AI suggestions can be inaccurate, incomplete or attributed to the wrong speaker. "Trusted" in ThreadKeep means that you checked a record; it doesn't mean anyone else has verified it. You're responsible for checking anything before you rely on it or share it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

ThreadKeep is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that ThreadKeep will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, or that data will never be lost.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThreadKeep and DistillAI won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of ThreadKeep, including loss of data, profits or business, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to ThreadKeep won't exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Termination

You may stop using ThreadKeep at any time, and ask us to delete your account at beta@threadkeepai.com. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where practical so you can download your data.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
